Stay Alive

"After the mysterious brutal death of an old friend, a group of teenagers find themselves in possession of "Stay Alive," a next generation horror survival videogame based on the true story of a 17th-century noblewoman known as "The Blood Countess." The gamers don't know anything about the game other than the fact that they're not supposed to have it--and they're dying to play it. Not able to resist temptation, the group begins to play the grisly game and soon a chilling connection is made--they are each being murdered one-by-one in the same method as the character they played in the game. As the line between the game world and the real world disappears, the group must find a way to defeat the vicious and merciless Blood Countess, all the while trying to STAY ALIVE. "

Just watched it last saturday, with my siblings, and Cher Hui.Cher Hui gasped. Is all about a PS2 game named Stay Alive, the people that played it seriously has to stay alive in the game, But if the died in the game, they will die for real, the same way as they died in the game.

I gave this movie a 7 over 10. It's an interesting storyline; they have nice actors and actress. Note: The 2 gurls, Abigail (Samaire Armstrong) and October (Sophia Bush) are pretty pretty belaka. And the guy Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) in Malcolm in the Middle is one of the teens that played this game. But he didn't die at last. He's the weird thing at last. Thought that's he's already dead since he game over in the game by accident, but suddenly he appeared at last and help save the main actor guy.

So, this is story is based on a America Old Folklore, The Bathory - "The Blood Countess" . I searched Wikipedia about her information and this is what i got :

Elizabeth Báthory (Báthory Erzsébet in Hungarian, Alžbeta Bátoriová(-Nádašdy) in Slovak, August 7?, 1560August 21, 1614), the Bloody Lady of Čachtice, was a Hungarian countess that lived in the Čachtice Castle near Trenčín, in present-day Slovakia.
She is considered the most famous serial killer in Slovak and Hungarian history as well as the world's most prolific mass murderer (according to Guinness World Records). She spent most of her life at the Čachtice Castle. She and her alleged four collaborators were accused of torturing and killing numerous girls and young women (20 - 2000 victims, depending on the source; it is rumoured that she documented each death in her diary, totalling to 612 entries). In 1610, she was imprisoned in solitary confinement, where she stayed until her death four years later. Her nobility permitted her to avoid an immediate execution. However, three of her five alleged collaborators were executed.
Various legends about her life, including the idea that she bathed in or drank the blood of servant girls, are thought by some to have been the origin of numerous vampire myths, the Dracula story, and the trope of the sexually sadistic vampiress in particular. Her historical nicknames include "The Blood Countess" and "Countess Dracula".

Elizabeth was born in a brutal environment in which her family often used violence to maintain their power (e.g. the Transylvanian ruler Zsigmond Báthory who liked to have his retainers killed). Alternatively, inbreeding is sometimes believed to have caused various psychotic disorders that the family was rumored to have. McNally and Radu Florescu imply that she learned techniques of torture from her husband, the "Black Beg." Some writers claim the Bathorys were brutal individuals even for the time, but others accuse such writers of selling fiction at any cost and slandering a family that achieved great things for Hungary[1].
Her crimes, arrest, and imprisonment can be seen in the context of a financial wartime power struggle she and her family eventually lost to the Habsburgs

Elizabeth Báthory, described as a beauty by her contemporaries, is believed to have been exceedingly vain and obsessed with preserving her youth. Like many legends and/or myths, this story has constantly been expanded upon (According to the 2006 movie Stay Alive, of which Bathory's story is the main subject, Bathory also had an aversion to mirrors as she could not stand to see herself age). One day, a servant girl pulled the Countess's hair while arranging it, and Báthory slapped her so hard her nose bled. She believed that the servant's blood had made her skin young and fresh again, and so she conceived the idea of bathing in blood as a magical restorative. Her reputation as the "Blood Countess" arose in large part from stories of servants and virgin peasant girls strung upside down and drained of their blood to provide Báthory with her youth serum. The story of the blood baths is one of the most enduring parts of Báthory's legend and appears in most fictional works inspired by it. McNally did not find anything about this in the original documents of the investigation of her crimes.

I told my classmate today i watched this movie, and they all might get interested in it.
